Gambling and Video Games - What's the Big Deal?

As part of Limerick Lifelong Learning Festival 2023, Hospital Family Resource Centre will be hosting a talk on video games and gambling. It is suitable for parents of children who use video games, those working with young people aged 8 and up, and those with an interest in the connection between gambling and video games.

The talk will take place on Wednesday 29 March, from 7-8 pm, in Hospital Family Resource Centre.

The talk will cover the topics of:

  • the potential harm of gaming on young people
  • the risk factors, signs and symptoms of harmful gambling
  • the link between gaming and gambling
  • loot boxes, social gaming, eSports betting & skins betting
